Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it?
Go ahead, ask the tough questions

Who trains my employees?

  • You decide.
  • You identify the employee skill gaps (we can help with that if you’d like)
  • You identify the type of training needed (we can help you with that if you’d like)
  • You choose the method of training - on-site, classroom, or a combination (we can help you with that if you’d like)
  • You choose the trainer - public or private education/training entity (guess what, we can help you with this as well)

Which employees are eligible to be trained?

  • Almost any employee for whom you’d like to increase their skill level or attain a relevant credential.

How long does the training last?

  • There is no set time period - it depends on the employer’s choice of training and curriculum.

Where’s the red tape?

  • Okay, we wouldn’t call it “red tape”, but there is an application to complete. We’re here to help with that, and applications are ususally approved within a matter of days.

How do I get started?

  • Employed Worker Training is funded by the Southwest Florida Workforce Development Board, Inc.in partnership with Business and Industry Service (BIS a division of Technical and Career Education, The School District of Lee County).
